On October 21, 1933, the Dillinger Gang struck again. This time they hit Peru's police station, taking two tommy guns, two .30.30 Winchesters, two sawed off shotguns, four .38 Police Specials and six bulletproof vests. Dillinger, Pierpont and Walter Dietrich are believed to have been the robbers. But it is highly doubtful Dietrich was present. Most likely it was Charles Makley. The station is still standing, but is used as a business now.
