If you do anything this year, be sure to visit the Allen County Museum in Lima, Ohio. They have opened their Sheriff Sarber/Dillinger exhibit on March 25. On display will be many of the original artifacts from the old jail, such as the cell Dillinger was held in, the desk of Sheriff Sarber, revolvers and weapons used to guard Pierpont, Makley and Clark during their trials there at Lima. And the list goes on and on. The curators have also added wax figures to the exhibit. Feel free to contact the museum if there are any questions. The museum is located on 620 W. Market Street.

The wax figures are very live-like and there is a certain eeriness when peering at Dillinger in his cell and watching Sheriff Sarber sitting at his desk. The curator, John Carnes went to great extents to copy everything that was sitting on Sarber's desk the day he was shot, down to a crossword puzzle Mrs. Sarber was working on at the time. The Scrapbook recommends a visit in the near future.
